NURSE-FAMILY PARTNERSHIP

Efforts to Outcomes™ Web-Based Training Series

Nurse-Family Partnership, a national maternal and early childhood health program that fosters long-term success for first-time mothers, was implementing a new Clinical Information System (CIS) called Efforts to Outcomes™. With over 2000 nurses and administrators across the country, Nurse-Family Partnership needed an effective and efficient method of training these individuals on this new system.

A role-based curriculum was designed which provided a framework for an object-oriented web-based training program. Interactive demonstrations for each task within the system were created, then sequenced together for each role within the organization. This object-oriented approach provided several benefits for the client, including reduced course development time, the ability to update and maintain multiple courses simultaneously, and the ability to reuse content for other business applications.
